Privacy Policy
This explains what Disidente Kenya collects when you visit this site, message us on WhatsApp or email, or place an order — including card payments from international clients via Flutterwave or Pesapal — and how that information is used.
Last updated: July 2026
1. Information we collect
Because ordering and service requests happen over WhatsApp rather than an account system, most of what we hold is what you send us directly:
- Contact details — your name and phone number, as shared over WhatsApp.
- Order details — for digital goods, the gift card denomination, subscription term, PSN region, or Microsoft account details needed to deliver a code.
- Service details — for network jobs, the router model, network layout, site address, or server access details needed to carry out the work.
- Payment confirmation — M-Pesa transaction references, or Flutterwave/Pesapal transaction references for card payments, used to confirm payment. We do not store full card numbers, CVV codes, card expiry dates, or M-Pesa PINs; we never ask for these, and card details are entered directly into Flutterwave's or Pesapal's own secure checkout, not into anything we host.
This website itself does not run visitor account logins or checkout forms for network/digital orders placed via WhatsApp — it links out to WhatsApp for those. Where a card payment is taken for an order (for example, from an international client), it is processed on Flutterwave's or Pesapal's own payment page, governed by their respective privacy policies, and only a transaction reference and payment status are shared back with us.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the specific product or service you've ordered or requested.
- To confirm payment and resolve any delivery issues.
- To provide follow-up support if something needs adjusting after a job is complete.
- To keep records required for our own accounting and, where applicable, tax compliance.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing profiling.
3. Sharing of information
Information is only shared with third parties where necessary to complete a job — for example, Safaricom (M-Pesa) or our payment processors Flutterwave and Pesapal to confirm a transaction, or a hardware supplier when sourcing equipment for a network installation on your behalf. We do not share order or service details with unrelated third parties.
4. How long we keep it
Order and service records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle support queries and meet basic accounting obligations, then deleted or archived. Network configuration details (such as exported router configs) are kept only as long as needed for handover and support, and can be deleted on request once a job is closed out.
5. Security
Access details you share for network or server work (passwords, router access, admin credentials) are used only for the scope of the agreed job and are not stored longer than necessary. We recommend rotating any shared credentials once work is complete, and we're happy to walk you through that as part of handover.
6. Your choices
You can ask us at any time, over WhatsApp, what information we hold about you, request a copy of it, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to any records we're legally required to retain.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
